We seek to partner with our local schools in our community in various ways in addition to providing school supplies to children in need.
Community Clothes Closet
Church members volunteer along with others in the community to work in this store located on 11W in the Food Lion Shopping Center, Church Hill. Many hands are needed to accept and sort through donated clothing and house wares, to price items, work the check out, and so much more. Its board of directors manages oversight of the store’s income. The biggest beneficiary of funding is education, spread out to a variety of recipient scholarships and educational causes. Philanthropy to local organizations and individuals has exceeded $1 million since its beginnings in 1995.

Girl Scout Troop 240 is a multi-age troop of Daisies (Kindergarten) through Cadettes (Middle school). They meet the first and third Tuesdays each month at 6:30pm. All girls and parent volunteers are welcome. Contact Stephanie Smith at 423-306-1456.
